Terms of Use
Effective October 13, 2026
Who we are
YardOn is run by the YardOn team ("YardOn", "we"). These terms apply when you use the YardOn website and the plans and emails it makes. By using YardOn, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use YardOn.
Using YardOn
- You must be at least 18, or use YardOn with a parent's or guardian's permission.
- YardOn is free to use for your own property or a property you look after. We don't take payments today.
- Send plans only to your own email address, or to someone who has asked for it.
General guidance, not professional advice
- YardOn gives general information and estimates. It is not professional landscaping, legal, engineering or safety advice, and it can't see conditions on the ground.
- Measurements are estimates. They depend on the imagery and on how you trace. Check them before you buy large amounts.
- Lot lines are approximate. They come from public records and are not a survey. Don't use them to place a fence, settle a boundary or apply for a permit.
- Always follow product labels. For fertilizer, weed control and any other product, the label's directions come first. Some states, counties, cities and homeowner associations set rules about fertilizer, watering and plants. Follow them.
- Call 811 before you dig, so buried lines are marked.
- Use a licensed professional for work near power lines, on tall trees, or anything you aren't comfortable doing safely.
Where our information comes from
Mowing heights come from Cooperative Extension publications, which each plan names. Monthly lists show typical timing for a region and may not fit your yard or this year's weather. Aerial imagery may be out of date. YardOn is not affiliated with or endorsed by any university, Extension service, government agency or other company named on the site.
Things you may not do
- Use YardOn to break the law or to harm, harass or spam anyone.
- Copy or collect YardOn's content or data with scripts or bots, or overload or attack the site.
- Try to get around the site's limits or security checks.
We may limit or stop access for anyone who does these things.
Ownership
The YardOn name, logo, site and the way plans are put together belong to us. Information from Extension services, map providers and public records belongs to its owners and is credited where it appears. The numbers and plan for your yard are yours to use.
No warranty
YardOn is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted or right for your purpose.
Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including damage to lawns, plants or property, or the cost of products or services, that come from using YardOn. If we are found responsible for something anyway, our total responsibility is limited to $100. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Changes and ending
We may change YardOn or these terms. If a change matters, we will update the date at the top and tell you on the site. We may stop offering YardOn at any time.
Law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, please contact us so we can try to fix the problem first.
