Questions
Who is it for?
Anyone who wants a full scope for their property: a new place, a yard you've had for years, or one you look after for someone else.
Is it free?
Yes, it's free to try. You see your yard's numbers and this month's list without paying or creating an account.
Do I need to install an app?
No. It opens in your phone's browser.
How accurate is the measurement?
You outline the lawn yourself on a picture from above, so it's as accurate as your outline. Being within about 10 percent is plenty for buying fertilizer and mulch.
Where does it work?
In all 50 states. Your list is timed to your region, and your planting zone comes from your ZIP code.
Where do the recommendations come from?
Mowing heights come from Cooperative Extension, the public university programs that test what works where you live. We use your own state's guide; where it doesn't give a number, we use the nearest state's and say so. Your plan names the source. YardOn isn't affiliated with or endorsed by any university.
What happens to my address?
It's used to find your yard and build your plan. YardOn doesn't sell it. The Privacy Policy has the details.
Is this professional advice?
No. YardOn gives general guidance and estimates. Lot lines and areas are approximate and are not a survey. Always follow product labels and local rules, and call 811 before you dig.
